✦ ABOUT THIS RUG

Hand-knotted in the Isparta region of Turkey, this vintage area rug features a rich crimson red field covered in an allover rose trellis pattern — small floral rosettes linked by a scrolling vine lattice in dusty pink and ivory, outlined in navy blue. The design echoes the traditional Oushak weaving style, prized for its balanced, repeating motifs. Unlike many vintage pieces, this rug has kept its color remarkably vivid, with only light, natural wear consistent with gentle age. No two rugs are alike; this one-of-a-kind piece carries its own history in every knot.

✦ THE STORY BEHIND THIS RUG

This rug was hand-woven on a loom in a village in Anatolia — not in a factory. Turkish women wove these pieces for their own homes, each pattern chosen by the weaver herself. No two are ever identical.

We source directly from old homes and collectors across Turkey. Before reaching you, each piece is restored: cleaned, the pile evened, and edges hand-stitched for durability.

What you receive is a one-of-a-kind textile, made by someone's hands and worn by time. You'll never find another exactly like it.

✦ THE MEANING BEHIND THE PATTERN

In Anatolian weaving tradition, the trellis pattern represents a garden in eternal bloom — vines and rosettes repeating endlessly as a symbol of abundance, continuity, and the cycle of the seasons. The dense, unbroken lattice was often chosen to fill a home with a sense of protection and prosperity.

Weaving this pattern was a patient, meditative act, each rosette repeated by hand until the garden filled the loom. Now this rug carries that same sense of abundance into your space, connecting your home to the hands that shaped it decades ago.

🧼 CARE & CLEANING

Vacuum regularly on a low or no-beater-bar setting. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — never rub. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners. Professional wool rug cleaning is recommended every 1–2 years. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to help preserve the natural colors.
