First, we shake out decades of dust. Then we carefully shear the pile — what we call "hav" in Turkish — to bring the surface back to an even, clean finish. The rug is then washed and goes through a series of restoration steps. Finally, the edges are hand-stitched to ensure it arrives in your home structurally sound and ready to use.

This half moon rug began as a section of a larger handwoven Anatolian rug, hand-shaped and finished into a graceful semicircle for use as a hearth or entryway mat. The curved top border carries a classic Turkish floral scatter in cream against charcoal black, framed by a thin green guard stripe with rosette medallions. Below, a camel-beige field opens into a naturalistic bouquet of green leaves, golden blossoms and brown-outlined petals, fading into soft cream toward the lower edge.
