✦ THE STORY BEHIND THIS RUG

This rug was woven by a woman.

Not in a factory. Not by machine. But by hand — on a loom, at home, in a village in Anatolia. Decades ago, Turkish women wove these rugs either to furnish their own homes or to contribute to the family's income. Each pattern was chosen by the weaver herself, each knot tied with her own hands.

We source these rugs directly from old homes and private collectors across Turkey. Each semicircle is individually cut from an authentic hand-knotted Turkish carpet, carefully washed and restored, and finished with durable edging.

You will never find another exactly like it.

✦ ABOUT THIS RUG

This is the most balanced of all our semicircles — the sweet spot between too much and too little.

The field is a soft ivory cream, covered edge to edge with a clearly visible all-over scrolling vine and botanical floral composition. Warm taupe brown and soft gray tones render the pattern with quiet clarity — not so muted that it disappears, not so bold that it competes. The composition is elegantly symmetrical, built around a central diamond medallion formation that gives the whole piece a sense of order and calm. There is no border. The pattern simply breathes from edge to edge.

This is the rug for someone who wants character without drama — pattern without statement — beauty without noise.
