✦ THE STORY BEHIND THIS RUG

This rug was woven by a woman.

Not in a factory. Not by machine. But by hand — on a loom, at home, in a village in Anatolia. Decades ago, Turkish women wove these rugs either to furnish their own homes or to contribute to the family's income. Each pattern was chosen by the weaver herself, each knot tied with her own hands.

We source these rugs directly from old homes and private collectors across Turkey. Each semicircle is individually cut from an authentic hand-knotted Turkish carpet, carefully washed and restored, and finished with durable edging.

You will never find another exactly like it.

✦ ABOUT THIS RUG

This rug has been almost entirely reclaimed by time.

The field is warm ivory cream — not the clean white of a new piece, but the deep, honeyed warmth of wool that has spent decades in a lived-in home. Across the entire surface, a dense all-over botanical floral and scrolling vine composition emerges in warm caramel brown and the softest, most muted sage green — tones so close to the ivory ground that they read as texture rather than pattern. There is no border. No frame. Only the continuous, abundant field, fading into and out of itself from edge to edge.

This is a rug about surface. About material. About the beauty that only time can produce — uneven, honest, warm.

For the person who knows that the most beautiful things don't announce themselves.
