✦ THE STORY BEHIND THIS RUG

This rug was woven by a woman.

Not in a factory. Not by machine. But by hand — on a loom, at home, in a village in Anatolia. Decades ago, Turkish women wove these rugs either to furnish their own homes or to contribute to the family's income. Each pattern was chosen by the weaver herself, each knot tied with her own hands.

We source these rugs directly from old homes and private collectors across Turkey. Each semicircle is individually cut from an authentic hand-knotted Turkish carpet, carefully washed and restored, and finished with durable edging.

You will never find another exactly like it.

✦ ABOUT THIS RUG

Of all the semicircles in our collection, this one carries the most warmth.

The field is a bright, clear ivory white — lighter than most of our neutral pieces, almost luminous. Across the entire surface, an all-over scrolling vine and botanical floral composition unfolds in two distinct tones: warm gold and mustard yellow accents that catch the light and draw the eye, and soft, muted gray tones that ground and balance the composition. The gold details are what make this piece exceptional — they give it a warmth and richness that sets it apart from every other neutral semicircle, while remaining entirely quiet in the overall palette. No border. Only the continuous, glowing field.

This is the rug for someone who wants neutral — but not cold. Understated — but not invisible.
