✦ THE STORY BEHIND THIS RUG

This rug was woven by a woman.

Not in a factory. Not by machine. But by hand — on a loom, at home, in a village in Anatolia. Decades ago, Turkish women wove these rugs either to furnish their own homes or to contribute to the family's income. Each pattern was chosen by the weaver herself, each knot tied with her own hands.

We source these rugs directly from old homes and private collectors across Turkey. Each semicircle is individually cut from an authentic hand-knotted Turkish carpet, carefully washed and restored, and finished with durable edging.

You will never find another exactly like it.

✦ ABOUT THIS RUG

This is the most delicate rug in our entire semicircle collection — and the most purely romantic.

The field is a soft, luminous ivory cream. Across it, small scattered floral motifs float in blush pink, sage green, and soft gray — not an all-over pattern, not a medallion, but individual blossoms and botanical details placed with the quiet intention of a watercolor painting. The effect is extraordinarily light — a rug that seems to have barely touched the ground, whose pattern is more suggestion than statement, more feeling than form.

Decades of genuine use have softened the colors to their most beautiful register — the blush pinks have deepened into something warmer, the sage greens have settled into their most muted tone, and the ivory ground has taken on the honeyed warmth of aged natural wool.

There is no border. No frame. Only the floating flowers and the cream ground, edge to edge.
