There is something deeply satisfying about a material that has earned its character. This pillow cover is made from a genuine vintage grain sack — authentic jute burlap fabric that has aged naturally into its beautiful cream tone and rich surface texture. It is antique style decor that is actually antique.

What is Kendir / Burlap Jute?

Kendir is one of Anatolia's most enduring natural fibers — the traditional name for jute, a plant-based material woven into sacks that carried the products of the harvest for generations. Every kendir sack tells a story of the land, the season, and the hands that filled it. We source these genuine vintage grain sacks, wash them thoroughly, and reimagine them as home textiles that preserve that living history. Owning a kendir pillow cover means owning a small piece of agrarian heritage.
